Gaping Gill

Gaping Gill as seen from inside the main cavern. Normally, Fell Beck falls through this shaft, which is a staggering 312 feet deep. However, on the occasion this photo was taken, the Craven Pot Hole Club diverted the beck in order to assemble a winch to allow visitors easy entry into the country's 2nd largest natural cavern.
